Steven J. Varkony, M.D., is one of Southern California’s most respected board-certified plastic surgeons. With decades of experience and a lengthy roster of satisfied patients, he has performed countless procedures covering all types of plastic surgery – including the latest, most innovative ones.
Canadian by birth, Dr. Varkony began his studies at McGill University in Montreal, widely considered Canada’s finest medical school. He remained at McGill to complete his training in general surgery. Later, he completed his residency at McGill’s noted plastic surgery unit, where he served as chief resident. Following this, he completed a plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Sothern California. After his time at USC, Dr. Varkony remained in the Greater Los Angeles area working with some of the area’s finest medical institutions and opening his own successful practice.
Currently, Dr. Varkony is on staff at the world-famous Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, in addition to serving as a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He is noted as the innovator of several widely used plastic surgeries, including the 30-minute breast enlargement and hidden scar arm lift. With the hidden scar techniques, Dr. Varkony can place incisions in areas that result in little to no visible scarring for his patients.
